PINHEAD GUNPOWDER: Legend has it that the name Gunpowder was given due to the tiny rolled green balls looking like gunpowder. The tea leaves are specially selected for quality and size, then steamed and tightly rolled into very small tight nuggets. While steeping this tea, boiling water causes leaves to open up like flowers and sink slowly to the bottom in graceful patterns, which add a visual pleasure to tea drinking. Pinhead has a surprising body and almost nutty green tea taste. Gunpowder is much more dense tea than others, so you need only half the amount normally used. HOT TEA: Put  a slightly heaping tsp of loose tea for each 8oz of freshly boiled water. Steep 3-7 minutes. Milk and sugar are not recommended for this tea. ICED TEA: 6 slightly heaping tsp of loose tea for each 1QT iced tea. Pour 1 1/4 cup boiling water on tea. Steep 5 minutes. Quarter fill serving pitcher with cold water. Pour into pitcher straining tea. Add ice.
